C108 Cleaning Itself

In media class we had to do a stop frame animation. We did this on "I can animate"
We had to come  up with an idea to help put a stop to people leaving C108 (media room) a mess.
My group came up with the idea of getting a pencil case and getting it to eat the pens and pencils. We had to make one object had a personality so we chose the pencil case to be responsible. We also choose the scissors to be a bit cheeky. At the start of the class as an example Mr. Statham showed us a video of Pixar with the characters having personality(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8zB7eFs-gjg)
I think we could have improved this by giving roles to people so one person can keep tract of the time ect. ect. In this assignment I think it didn't work well because some people weren't doing anything while others did a lot. My role was to move objects around, This didn't work so well because i think everyone wanted to help and everyone kept tweaking it so the video looks a bit funny in places.

Lesson 1:

Aim:  To create a 30-60 second public announcement animation of the ICT/Media room ‘tidying itself’.

Note:

·      Four Groups

·      Quarter of the room each

·      Using laptops and I Can Animate Software

·      Completed/Edited/Soundtrack added by 10:40 for viewing (use a laptop with itunes)

·      Export to quicktime (.mov) and email to group

Homework:  Upload your group’s animation to your blog and add 2 paragraphs; (i) What you had to do and what your specific role was, (ii) How oyu think it went, what could you have improved.
