Google Search Tips

In this post I'm going to help you search better in google, because sometimes you search things and google doesn't come up with the results you want.
Things you need to know:

  • Every word counts- all words you put in the search box will be found so get rid of all the unnecessary words and put in more important key words.
  • Search is always case sensitive so (yahoo) is the same as (Yahoo) so you will find both results.
  • Most punctuation is ignored but there are some shortcuts that you can press, and thats what I'm going to talk about.
("") Double Quotes- Putting these round a set of words, you are searching only those words. For example if you want to search for white panda you don't just put white panda in because google will search for "white" and "panda" so if you put double quotes around the set of words, in my case white panda it will look something like this "white panda" and google will know that you are looking for those set of words.
